Romero Britto | born in Recife, Brazil, in 1963 is Neo-Pop artist known for his vibrant, bold, and playful style. Britto is a Brazilian-born and Miami-made international art sensation known for his use of vibrant, bold and colorful patterns to reflect his optimistic view of the world. He began painting at a young age, and he was self-taught until he was 18 years old. In 1983, Britto moved to Paris, where he was exposed to the work of modern masters such as Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. These artists had a profound impact on Britto's own work, and he began to develop his own unique style.

 In 1989, Britto moved to Miami, Florida. He quickly established himself as a successful artist, and his work began to be shown in galleries and museums around the world. Britto's art is now collected by some of the most famous people in the world, including Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Bill Clinton.

Britto has created a visual language of hope and happiness that has inspired millions. Self-taught, Britto painted on any medium he could find before coming into his own.
