Agam is an Israeli artist considered one of the leading pioneers of kinetic art. His work is usually abstract using movement, frequent use of light and sound and generally requiring viewer participation. As an artist and the son of an orthodox rabbi, Agam struggled with the taboo of the graven image by creating an artform that can not be fixed and that is always in the process of transformation.
